The Willow Festival is back in 2012

The Contrast have been once again invited to play the Willow Festival in Peterborough. This is the first year that the festival has been held since 2003. The Willow Festival returns after a nine year hiatus from the city’s music calendar. The original event ran between 1998 and 2003. By 2003 the festival grew to become one of the largest FREE live music festivals in Europe, with over 50,000 visitors and was the biggest live music festival in the city’s history. The 2012 festival will showcase 120 live bands from across the UK and other parts of the world. An eclectic mix of music will take place across six stages over three days at the festival on the Peterborough Embankment. TWF will remain the same scale and format as in previous years, but with further attractions on the site. More details will follow as we get them but there are plenty of cool images and updates on the official site. http://www.willowfestival.org.uk/

The Contrast have been confirmed as guests on the Bandstand stage of the 2011 Hard Rock Calling Festival in Hyde Park, London on Saturday 25th June 2011. The acts for the Bandstand stage have been hand picked by Steven Van Zandt himself and is as follows:

David Plays solo and acoustic at Liverpool IPO

Due to circumstances beyond their control The Contrast will not be able to play the Liverpool IPO this coming Friday (20th May). However, in order not to disappoint the fans and the organisers that have supported the band a great deal over the years David Reid has decided to perform a solo acoustic set. Prior to The Contrast Reid cut his teeth as a young artist performing solo sets, so this rare solo outing will definitely be something to look out for. Look out for a very exciting announcement coming soon regarding a forthcoming performance from The Contrast.
